Climbing that hill. I can see the top finally!

Well, it’s been four months since my last entry.  And I guess a lot has happened since.  First I just his the 15,000,000 likes.  Honored really. How amazing that people still like the pictures after 5 years.  I’m still loving all the comments and DM’s I get and I sure try to reply back to all of them.

Anyway, I think I’ve finally got a hold of the YouTube stuff.  And funny enough any account under 4000 hours and 1000 subscribers can’t get monetized starting March 1st. Well, that’s me.     And even now I don’t regret I started at the age I’m at now. To be honest I find it a challenge to get there.

As for software, I’ve upgraded to Premiere Pro, what a cool piece of software, and yeah it does come with a price, but using my daughters account I get 40 percent off, plus I think I can afford it.   While Pinnacle was great it’s really a starter software.

I’ve broken down my videos into really three types,  One the ‘how to’ and photography tutorials, the quick 2-4 minute one while driving around WDW and the Lightroom basics.  Besides the Lightroom basics, all have been well received.

I’m learning a ton of editing and putting the pieces together has been one of the coolest things I’ve done in a while.   Down from the opener video, end clips, music etc.    As for hardware, my good old Canon 80d is performing awesome.  You can really tell how it excels when used for video.  And after weeks I’ve finally got the settings to make me look ‘normal’ and not an 80 year old.

Just subscribed also to a music site which has amazing music so can’t wait to play with that as well.

But at this point, I can say I am happy. I am doing videos and loving it.   Just like before my main focus is ‘Me and my photography around the parks’ nothing else.  If you want to see WDW favorite shows or another promo style video be my guest. It’s not my thing.  I think the closest I’ll get to that is showcasing something but it’s not my focus of the channel.  It’s about me, it’s about what I love to do and how I do it.  That is what is fun for me, and that is how I survived so long on IG.  I do what I love not what others want or say I should do.
